2017 Honda Civic
The 2017 Honda Civic (sedan) took home Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com * 2017 Overall Best Buy, for the 2nd year in a row, proving why the Civic continues to be a leader in the compact car segment. With the release of the 10th generation Civic in 2016, few changes were made to the 2017 sedan and coupe. However, Civic enthusiasts can rejoice because Honda has plans to reintroduce some Civic model that have not been available for the last few years.
The new Civic hatchback hit the road a few weeks ago and has become an instant favorite. With all trim levels equiped with a 1.5-liter turbo, extra cargo room, and a sport edition it is easy to see what all the fuss is about. With Honda also planning to introduce an Si later in 2017 and rumors swirling around a Type R model re-emerging, the entire Civic family will soon be cruising the roads again. Another point of excitement is that the Civic sedan and coupe are now available with a 1.5-liter direct-injected turbocharged four-cylinder that can be paired with six-speed manual transmission on the EX-T trim level. The hatchback is ONLY available with the 1.5-liter turbo and it can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a CVT on its 5 respected trim levels.
Both the new 2017 Honda Civic Coupe and Sedan come with up to 174 horsepower, a fully independent suspension and two choices of transmissions. The 174-hp engine is standard on the EX-T, EX-L and Touring models. The 2017 Civic Hatchback comes standard with a turbocharged engine that produces 174 horsepower and turns every green light into a reason to put the pedal down. This turbocharged engine comes standard on LX, EX and EX-L Navi. It also offers an engine that kicks out up to 180 horsepower and has a fully independent multi-link suspension. This 180 horsepower engine comes standard on the Sport and Sport Touring models.
The new 2017 Honda Civic is packed with cutting edge technology offerings and perfectly primed for leading the charge for the next generation. Some features include Honda LaneWatch which will display live video on your Display Audio screen to reveal nearly four times more than the passenger-side mirror alone when signaling right; A wireless charging mat, so you can leave your cables and wires at home; A Satellite-Linked Navigation System which will help you find anything you're looking for while driving; A back-up camera that allows you select multiple view settings to always see what's behind you. These features are available on most Honda Civic models, as well as many more.
Some safety features on the new Honda Civic may include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow helps you maintain a set following interval on the highway, so you don't have to manually change your speed; A Collision Mitigation Braking system which can help brake the vehicle when it senses an otherwise unavoidable collision with a vehicle detected in front of you; A Road Departure Mitigation system which can see road markers with a small camera and will alert you if you’re about to leave the road, and can also help you take action from doing so. These are only some of the advanced safety features you will find on the new 2017 Honda Civic.
