2017 Honda CR-V

With 2017 debuts the 5th generation CR-V. In the last 20 years the CR-V model has sold close to 4 million vehicles and has been one of the best-selling SUV’s in the United States. This model year does not cease to impress. The all-new 2017 CR-V has already been crowned Car and Drivers Best Compact SUV – 2017 10 Best Truck and SUV* with its slightly larger frame, new safety features, larger interior and a new powertrain it is easy to see why.

There are many features on the new CR-V that make it stand out from previous models. While turbo makes most of us think of a zippier ride, the CR-V’s will increase its MPGs to 28 city/34 highway/30* combined. The turbo also increases the acceleration speed of zero-to-sixty to 1.5 seconds quicker than the 2.4 liter engine. The 2.4 liter will still be standard on the LX model. Both of these engines will be paired with Honda’s CVT.

The exterior of the new 2017 CR-V is sporty and more aggressive. It has a wider stance and more clearance at 7.8 (FWD) and 8.2 (AWD) to get you where you need to go. The CR-V also got a bit more space with the addition of 1.6 inches in length and an inch in height.

The CR-V also received major upgrades to its safety features and interior. A suite of safety features through Honda Sensing ™ that include; Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Mitigation Braking System ™ will protect you and your passengers where ever the road may take you. Honda Sensing ™ is included on EX and higher trim levels. Other safety features available dependent on trim are Honda Lane Watch ™, Lower Anchors and Tethers for Child Seats, Forward Collision Warning, and much more.

Road trips become more comfortable with the 2017 CR-V. The second seat gains more than 2 inches of leg room and 9 inches of cargo space. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available to power the 5.0 inch LCD screen for LX models and the 7.0 inch screen for EX and higher. The EX, now comes standard with heated front seats, power driver’s seat, a moonroof, dual climate control, tinted windows and fog lights. Technology

If your vehicle begins to stray from the center of a detected lane without signaling, the steering adjusts to help bring you back to the lane center. The Multi-Angle Rearview Camera allows you to choose from three different angles — normal, top-down and wide — and offers a better view of what's behind you every time you shift to reverse. Lock and unlock the doors without ever taking your key out of your pocket with Smart Entry, standard on EX, EX-L and Touring models. You’ll have extra help when deciding if it’s safe to change lanes with sensors in the rear bumper to alert you when vehicles are detected, also standard on EX, EX-L and Touring models. Stay well-connected at all times with several choices of audio systems, plus Pandora®* compatibility, USB connectivity and HondaLink®.

Safety Features

Collision Mitigation Braking System helps brake the vehicle when it senses an otherwise unavoidable collision with a vehicle detected in front of you. Road Departure Mitigation System is a small camera which sees road markers, alerts you if you’re about to leave the road, and can take action to help keep you from doing so. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow helps you maintain a set following interval on the highway, so you don't have to manually change your speed. If your vehicle begins to stray from the center of a detected lane without signaling, the steering adjusts to help bring you back to the lane center.
