2017 Nissan Armada
The 2017 model year brought around a complete facelift for the Nissan Armada. The previous body style, which was discontinued in 2015, had been based on the Titan frame. The 2017 Armada however, follows in its’ Infiniti QX80 kin’s footsteps and is now designed on the international Nissan Patrol’s platform. With the change in platforms brings a streamlined exterior design, and more refined interior. Rugged has been replaced with refinement in the new Armada. The exterior looks similar to the QX80 with a Nissan brand face and less chrome on the exterior. The interior has received a complete overhaul losing the extra plastic cladding that was prevalent in the previous model.
The redesign of this family hauler sees a slight jump in pricing, which starts at $44,900* for the SV trim, but remains less expensive than the Infinity QX80, Ford Expedition, GMC Yukon, and Toyota Sequoia. Not to mention the 8,500 lbs of towing capacity for the Nissan Armada is downright impressive in this field. Also impressive are the new tech features which include; Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Backup Collision Intervention, and Blind Spot Intervention.
The new 2017 Nissan Armada offers a powerful and efficient, 5.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline V8 which features dual overhead cams, 32 valves, and an innovative VVEL valve control. These engine features enhance the throttle response as well as fuel economy. The new Armada also has best-in-class maximum horsepower (coming in at 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque). Armada has an impressive maximum towing capacity of 8,500-lb.
Armada has serious capability, but its available advanced technology is just as impressive. The Nissan Navigation System has features such as NavTraffic® and NavWeather® that will help you be aware of weather and road conditions, while the Mobile Entertainment System keeps the whole crew happy. A standard USB input makes it easy to connect your phone and control your audio from the audio system. From hands-free Bluetooth, to the Mobile Entertainment system that allows compatible video and gaming devices to be connected, you have all the tools to entertain your passengers.
The Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield philosophy is a comprehensive approach to safety that guides the engineering and development of every car we make. It helps keep an eye on your vehicle’s systems and surroundings, assists you in handling unexpected situations, and helps protect you in the unfortunate event of an accident. It’s our way of looking out for you and yours. With features such as Distance Control Assist, Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking, to Blind Sport Warning (BSW) and Blind Spot Intercention (BSI) you and your passengers will be protected.
